Parking issue could kill hopes for state call center in Columbia Borough

A proposed state call center that could have brought 129 jobs to Columbia might be off the table because of a lack of parking.

What about the Customer's side (the Department of Human Services)?Think this might be an agenda-driven press-release. Little real news here. Just thoughts expressed with no real substance.

  3. yes, put the call center on the ground level and the parking levels up high and keep the top deck for tourist parking and then put a mono rail to the down town

  4. the LAND was NOT sold to LASA. just the treatment plant!it sounds like a bad deal to me anyway, IBS developer would make out while COlumbia Boro LOSES again.

  5. Let the building go into foreclosure. It can be gotten for pennies on the dollar after that. Commercial buildings aren't worth anything in Cola., & this one is in a flood plain & on rented land. Nobody should pay what's owed on this building, including the Hambones.

  6. you'd think this council were ALL millionaires…at least that's the way they spend OUR MONEY. just look at the taj mahal too. WHEN will any of them step up to the plate and DO what their residents want them to. that voted them in in the first place.
