The Columbia Borough Planning Commission voted unanimously Tuesday night to accept a motion to change data center use to Not Permitted in Light Business (LB) Zoning District and Conditional Use in Light Industrial/General Industrial (LI and GI) Zoning District. The motion passed 4-0. (Brad and Tiffany Lynn were absent.)
Four council members attended the meeting: Council President Eric Kauffman, Vice President Heather Zink, Jeanne Cooper, and Ethan Byers.
Council President Kauffman requested that the commission vote against the motion. Several residents spoke asking the Commission to accept the motion.
The next step in the process sends the request to the Lancaster County Planning Commission for review. (Council Vice President Zink is a member of the Lancaster County Planning Commission.)
