Transformer wire on fire on New Year's Eve at 8th & Walnut

Several fire departments and PPL responded to a transformer wire on fire near the intersection of 8th and Walnut Street at about 6:30 p.m. December 31, 2019. A PPL worker extinguished the flame. A firefighter on the scene said there is a high tension wire that is in danger of falling.
