  1. How can these business people in Columbia get away with not paying taxes? If it were me they send the sheriff. Plus the one deliberately won't put a railing on his business and gets away with it. Where's the codes dept,?

  2. No it's my business I have to pay my taxes I would never get away with it. Maybe if they get these people to pay up they wouldn't have had to raise taxes.

  3. There is a monetary penalty for late pay. Why gossip about it. They pay higher amounts. All added to the SYSTEM'S coffers

  4. No, it is ABSOLUTELY our business as taxpayers. We are now involved in loaning tax dollars to a developer who is delinquent on taxes. We have a seated councilman who voted to loan our money out to this developer and to increase our taxes, yet he is delinquent on his. I do not care if it's school or municipal, they are not being paid promptly. IT IS OUR BUSINESS.

  5. No law is broken if taxes are paid late. You should try to take some risks with YOUR pathetic lives. You may find it exhilarating.

  6. It is no wonder that the state built route 30 to BYPASS columbia. The generational columbians ( who are fewer in numbers all the time ) are so negative and closed minded and jelous that they give the town a bad rep. River rats they are. I prefer sewer rats.

  9. Wasn't 30 built around Columbia because of the cemetary-owned lands on the hill? Of course that's a thing generational Columbians would know, and not some moron tossing insults and speaking out his/her ass.

  10. Oh I see, the requirements to pay taxes on time, in accordance with Title 61 of the PA Code and similar LAWS in the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statues, are merely suggestions. Good to know. As for risk taking, I'm all for it…so long as you use your own money and not taxpayer dollar. What is pathetic is for someone to fall behind in tax payments, which I can understand happening, but then dictate to the constituents, through an elected position, on how tax money is being spent. I personally have higher morals and integrity and could never do that without feeling shame.
