  1. Columbia schools did not even have a delay, a judgement call , I have been told, made by the Director of Operations, which endangered the safety of all of Columbia's students. Just another glaring reason why this Elanco agreement must be ended and the director of operations must go.Hempfield shows concern for the safety of the students and decides on caution.Columbia once again looks foolish, thanks to poor judgement! There is no acceptable reason for endangering our children other than poor judgement and the narcissism of power.

  2. I want to know why Columbia did not have a two hour delay just because we do not have buses does not mean it is safe for the kids to walk I know for a fact that the sidewalks were icey this morning way to go

  3. I believe at times schools jump the gun on closing, but there should have been a delay in Columbia today. When I went to my car, thin layer of ice on sidewalks and streets. By the way, ELANCO had a two hour delay.May be our director of operations should consult with his boss about delays.

  4. The Director of operations does not think he has a boss….but then again, if Hollister, Elanco's Superintendent, allows him to get away with this poor judgement and the endangerment of our children, then maybe our school board should man up and get rid of both of these judgement challenged people.

  5. It was treacherous this morning for pedestrians. No other way to put it. It was also deceiving because it just looked wet when in reality it was ice. One parking lot along Walnut Street was a solid sheet of ice.
