Park signs – the rest of the story

There are three more signs in Locust Street Park – in addition to the one pictured in yesterday’s post. Two are similar to the sign shown previously, and one contains slightly different wording. These photos are from a previous blog post that can be found here:

  1. So, I wonder, Cole and everyone, if the NO activities are posted, is everything else then OK to do in the park / recreation facility? Who are these people?

  2. wondering when the park bench that was destroyed last year by the kids is going to be replaced? Some family or organization purchased that bench in memory of a lost soul.

  3. Yes, I think the parents and kids are confusing this park with a playground. It is a place for people to sit and enjoy. It is not an area to be destroyed, yet tree branches have been broken, the gazebo was vandalized, and a bench was broken. Other benches have graffiti carved into memorial plaques as well as the wood. Now are there any people that think this is acceptable?

  4. Monday at 3:15 drove by the park and two men were walking around the benches both with metal detectors, so it's not just the kids who don't follow the rules, just saying.
