You're paying for this, too

A giant praying mantis arm at Columbia Water Company today.
Your charge for this rental is on your current water bill, noted as PENNVEST SURCHARGE.
The great gray eminences on the company’s board have made it so.

  1. yes water company is cheep as they teach there employees to be also. was moving out of my house and the one employee that came to shut off my water. Saw that I had a pellet stove and asked if he could buy the pellets. He said he would pay a week later because he didn't get paid that week. And ended up I was never paid for them.

  2. This is historic, it has to be. And it should have been reviewed! But, they are rich owners and can do whatever they want!!!!!!!!!

  3. We still even have a Historic Review Board? You know, the group that will break a 85 year old woman to tears as they deny her request to replace the old, leaky, drafty, pieces of crap (oops – excuse me, I mean “historic”) windows on the house she has owned for 50 years. That HARB was the biggest joke ever and should never have been formed in the first place. So no, this project shouldn't be reviewed by a historic board. Nothing should be. This isn't Disneyland. It's a water company–FMB
