On July 3, 2013, Lancaster County Drug Task detectives and Columbia Borough police arrested Stanley Bennem as he pulled up outside a home in the 300 block of Perry Street in Columbia. He was found to be in possession of seven bags of cocaine and approximately $1600

Daring One-Woman River Rescue

Yesterday afternoon at Columbia River Park, Ranae Tibbens of Chiques Rock Outfitters responded to an overturned canoe and helped rescue several boaters by paddling to the site and giving instructions. She also kayaked a small child to shore and completed the entire operation before official rescue personnel were able to respond.
