Columbia Borough Councillor Jim Smith, whose term is over at the end of this year, pushed to have this equipment purchased and installed.

Coaches needed at Our Lady of the Angels
Our Lady of the Angels school has a need for assistant coaches for the upcoming Softball and Baseball season. Needed are adults of all ages and older teens to help motivate, organize schedules, teach the children and become a positive role model for our community’s youth. Can work with any schedule or level of involvement.

Advance Auto Parts Grand Opening
Following a ribbon-cutting this morning, Advance Auto Parts at the Columbia Plaza opened its doors to the public. The grand opening was sponsored by the Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Syncing traffic lights at Front & Walnut
Workers were at Front and Walnut Streets this morning testing traffic signals in an effort to synchronize them with railroad lights and barricades near the entrance to Columbia River Park. Synchronization will allow train and vehicle traffic to interact safely and is the final step towards opening the Route 441 bypass.
