The Clydesdales were at Flinchbaugh’s Orchard & Farm Market in Hellam for the past few days. This one, however, isn’t real. The real ones are shown a little further down.

Also at Flinchbaugh’s: beautiful scenery . . .

Back in town: one down in Locust Street Park

A cloud wandering lonely as a cloud

After the rain

The former Cookman Church

At the Market House

Seen in the 100 block of Avenue I

Borough hall awnings

The high school garden appears to be doing well.

Time for a replacement?

In bloom

U.S. flag near the Shannon Armory

This osprey kept flying around above the railroad tracks near the “old” bridge. For some reason it held this small branch with his talons for a while (unless he was snagged) before releasing it.

It finally came to rest on this steel column for about a minute before taking off again.

Busy river

A guy stretching high

Buildings peeking out

Changing the letters on the message board

You can go across on the bridge, but a cross on the bridge?

These two (at Columbia Curiosities) look as though they could be victims of heat stroke.

Remember to stay hydrated.

That’s a nice patch of sage, but it makes it more difficult for fire personnel to access the hydrant.

Despite the heat wave, Rholan Paving milled and paved a strip on the 500 block of Chestnut this past week.

More tree work on North 6th

Public auction coming up

Nothing to see here.

A pleasant feline in Pleasant Avenue

This probably isn’t an official street sign – or is it?

A few at St. Peter Catholic Church . . .

Borough officials might not care, but others do.

A man in black shirt and tan pants (usually the uniform of a constable or coroner) walked from a house near North 5th & Avenue G the other day and entered this car. No other activity was detected.

Timekeeper

Looks like it’s “tree” o’clock.

Nice flowers

Don’t cross the tracks when these are flashing.

A gathering of the sparrow club

Is it hay or straw?

More slabs for sale on Bridge Street

More sidewalk art

The camouflage is almost complete, but it still won’t help to avoid an electric bill.

Meanwhile in Millersville:

A convoy of vehicles, one of which held First Lady Jill Biden, left Pucillo Gym at Millersville University this afternoon after a rally there.
