Stringing lights at the park

Don Murphy and Joe Dietz were busy stringing lights on a 50-foot evergreen this afternoon at Locust Street Park, in preparation for Sunday’s 7 p.m. Christmas tree lighting. The ceremony, which is dedicated to the late Pat Yohe, is the third annual Winterfest, and will include refreshments, caroling by Our Lady of the Angels children’s choir, and a visit by Santa Claus. The event is sponsored by Cimarron Properties, the Slaymaker Group, Union Station Grill, and the Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce.
