Field of Screams Haunted Attraction addresses allegations from its actors and volunteers

MOUNTVILLE, Pa. — As Field of Screams Haunted Attraction prepares to open for Valentine’s Day weekend, some of its actors say they won’t be returning.
Those actors have taken their concerns to social media; some of whom have created videos outlining why they no longer support the haunted attraction.

Columbia Creative Factory Seeks To Purchase Building By End Of February | TownLively

A for-profit and not-for-profit collaboration has been formed in an effort to ensure that the community work being done at Columbia Creative Factory (CCF), 247 Locust St., Columbia, will be able to continue. An offshoot of the Lancaster Creative Factory, the CCF has been offering low-cost and free art classes and programming for children, youths, and adults since 2016. The building that housed the organization for four years on a donated basis was listed for sale in January 2019.

1st Amendment lawyer selected for PA due to challenges in obtaining public records here

Today is a big day, because the fight for government transparency and freedom of the press in Pennsylvania is about to get a big boost.
We’re excited to announce that our state has been selected by the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press to receive a First Amendment lawyer dedicated exclusively to helping journalists combat government secrecy.

Though often unseen, journalists here fight every day to obtain documents, data and other records in order to inform you, the public, about what the government is doing (or failing to do) and how your tax dollars are spent.

Even when the law is on my side, barriers to access pop up frequently. Access to government records here is so dire, in fact, that the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press recently announced it’s sending a dedicated lawyer to fight for access on behalf of Pennsylvania journalists.
