Pa. Guard to go to DC through inauguration | News, Sports, Jobs – Altoona Mirror

HARRISBURG — Gov. Tom Wolf has announced that about 1,000 Pennsylvania National Guard members have been activated to support the District of Columbia National Guard and local civilian authorities through the Jan. 20 presidential inauguration in the nation’s capital.

Lititz bookstore gives away free copies of US Constitution in wake of violence at Capitol

When the owners of Aaron’s Books in Lititz saw what was happening at the U.S. Capitol building on Wednesday, they decided to offer a way for their customers to learn, or be reminded of, the basis of our system of government.

Todd Dickinson and Sam Droke-Dickinson, the couple who owns the independent bookstore at 35 E. Main St. in Lititz, decided to give out the few dozen paperback copies of the U.S. Constitution they have in stock, free to their customers starting Friday.

Top PA Law Enforcement Leaders Pledge To Prosecute U.S. Capitol Attackers | 90.5 WESA

A number of the commonwealth’s state and federal prosecutors are planning to press charges against anyone from Pennsylvania found to have been involved in the attack on the U.S. Capitol Wednesday that temporarily disrupted the certification of the nation’s Electoral College votes.

At least a dozen people from Pennsylvania have been arrested by DC Metro Police in the wake of the riots. One Schuylkill County man in his 50s is among the four who died according to the Morning Call.
