The Susquehanna has risen several feet due to recent heavy rain and melting snow. Until the ice melts and the water subsides, the river will not be suitable for swimming, walking upon, or any of the other usual activities.

River ice was melting today due to above-freezing temperatures. The video above shows free-flowing water near the Veterans Memorial Bridge where people were walking on the ice just yesterday (shown HERE).

In his appeal, Micah Stewart, 30, claimed his trial lawyers were ineffective because they failed to tell the jury he attacked Cortney Fry while he was high on crack cocaine and marijuana.
