State law requires municipalities to care for stray dogs found in their jurisdiction, but does not require any action with regard to cats.
The Humane League has now moved to accepting no animals from municipalities.
The newly formed Lancaster Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) plans to establish a shelter in Lancaster and to make the shelter available to municipalities.

  1. I'm not understanding why the Boro doesn't do something about the huge feral cat issue in the Boro….they spend money on dumb stuff, but fail to step up with the serious issues.
